Our plans, strategies and publications

Our plans are guided by five priority areas: land, water, nature, community, and climate.

Managing land, water and nature relies on working closely with landholders and communities. Our work is guided by climate adaptation and opportunities to reduce climate impacts.

The plans we create help us make informed decisions for the environment and show how we can address challenges facing the region. By working together, we aim to care for the land, water, nature and climate in a way that benefits both the community and the environment.

Our Regional Landscape Plan 2026–31 is currently being developed, informed by extensive engagement undertaken during 2025 and 2026. The draft plan was available for public consultation from 21 January to 6 April 2026, and the input received will guide the final version, which will come into effect on 1 July 2026.
